Legal Assistant - Insurance Defense Litigation DADELAND

Established Law Firm is currently seeking a Legal Assistant - Insurance Defense in the Kendall area of Miami. Candidates with at least 7 years of experience in litigation will be considered. Federal Court experience is required.

Legal Assistant Qualifications / Responsibilities :

The ideal candidate must be highly organized, detail oriented and dedicated. Federal court experience is a a requirement. We are seeking a self-starter who can work independently under the guidance of the attorneys. The legal assistant will be required to work in a team environment and manage significant workloads with minimum supervision. Responsibilities include but are not limited to scheduling, communication with opposing counsel, calendaring, hearings, mediations, IME’s, depositions, court filings, and other general assignments.

Qualified individuals must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

A minimum of 4-5 years of experience is required. The ability to work on time

sensitive deadlines and exercise good judgment is essential. Candidates must

possess strong organizational and time management skills. Proficiency in Microsoft office (Word, Outlook) is a must.
