About The Position

Job Title : Cardiovascular Technologist

Profession : Allied Health

Specialty : Cath Lab Technician

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : Primarily Days with some late nights and on-call requirements

Hours per Shift : 10 hours

Experience : Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab Tech experience

License : Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or eligibility for NYS grandfathering under Public Health Law 2824

Certifications :

• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• COVID vaccination card showing completion of the COVID series

Must-Have :

Description :

Cardiovascular Technologists assist with invasive cardiac procedures.

They prepare the procedure room and maintain a sterile field for surgical procedures.

Responsible for the setup of sterile supplies, instruments, and equipment.

Must anticipate equipment requirements during procedures and operate equipment.

Maintain sterile instruments throughout the procedure.

Function in multiple roles of the procedure team, including scrub, circulator, and documenter / monitor.

Good organizational skills are essential.

Position requires engagement in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Candidates should have the ability to perform under pressure while ensuring the highest standards of patient care.
