The Senior Producer supports the clients and project details related to innovative brand and cultural experiences across digital and physical environments. This role unites the team’s talent to maintain a shared creative vision through clear communication, collaboration, and structured consistency, enabling Hyperquake and its clients to push creative boundaries. Senior Producers act as key client contacts on complex projects, managing communications, expectations, and operations while also overseeing their own projects and proactively leading direct reports. Working closely with creative technologists, strategists and designers from other disciplines, the Senior Producer brings executional excellence to multi-sensory brand and cultural touch points.
As our client’s point of contact on larger, more complex projects, Senior Producers along with the project leader manages client and vendor communications, product expectations, and represent the studio in day-to-day operations. You are able to draw on your experience to resolve project issues, influence decisions, and communicate effectively in difficult situations involving staffing, budget, schedule, and client management.
In addition to managing a small number of your own projects, the Senior Producer proactively manages direct reports.
The position requires excellent execution in performing project management work such as :
Able to manage end to end production for select large-scale projects, with support from the project team leads and Head of Production manage in defining the scope of current and new projects (goals, deliverables, schedules, staffing, SOWS, and budgets)
In some projects serving as the main client contact, helping define vision, clarifying requirements, explaining complex ideas clearly, and managing expectations
Leading project team and studio-wide meetings for internal and external projects (e.g. kick-offs, team creative meetings, progress updates, internal process evaluations)
Collaborating with the project team (using the contract as a context) during the creative process and providing perspective on client’s expectations of any given project
Directing the work of internal and outside resources such as software developers, motion graphics designers, illustrators and sound designers
Support in writing Statement of work alongside the project client lead and head of production; Planning and directing QA and usability testing for all software phases; manage Quality Assurance resources, ensuring deliverables are high quality and satisfy Hyperquake’s commitments
Independently presenting project work to clients, including pitch participation and presentations
Support in training Producers and Associate Producers on Hyperquake methodology and best production practices
Performing one-on-one meetings with project team members, Production discipline peers, and senior staff
Miscellaneous administrative duties as assigned by Director of Production
Bachelor’s Degree and 5+ years experience in a professional setting producing projects, ideally in an interactive agency setting
Ideal candidates will be highly organized and have experienced knowledge of the process and timelines required for the execution of a wide range of interactive projects.
Effectively manages conflict negotiation and project escalation
Demonstrates clarity, firmness, and fairness with clients, educating them as to the difficulties and challenges during each phase of the studio’s process in context with their respective contract with Hyperquake. It is understood that these qualities will help to ensure appropriate expectations and good communications while underscoring the collaborative nature of this work.
Ability to handle the most complex project situations
Ability to sense what could endanger a project or the studio as a whole, even before obvious signs surface and prepare appropriate action
Deals with confidential information and / or issues using discretion and judgment, and a detail-oriented, respectful approach.
Occasional day-trip or overnight travel is required for client creative workshops or prospective work
Occasional evening work is required for attaining project final delivery deadlines
