Role Summary

Job Description : Design and document product details to provide detailed insight into the technical specifications and architecture for products and services. Facilitate requirements gathering process. Prepare different types of technical designing documents. Perform installation of various Mavenir products such as EPDG, SeGW, vMC2, SFCS, and SMSF. Generate and implement Acceptance Test Plans (ATP), including design, creation, and execution. Reproduce issues in lab environments. Interact with technical and non-technical teams regarding reported issues. Provide responses and technical support to customers and team members. Deploy Mavenir products in production sites, design and implement network configurations, perform routine health checks, and maintain KPIs. Prepare detailed performance reports, and integrate messaging products with third-party systems. Conduct network integration, interoperability, and feature acceptance tests. Serve as a subject matter expert on protocol interactions with proprietary systems. This position is based in Richardson, with potential for telecommuting.

Key Responsibilities

• Understanding of Network Function Virtualization (NFV)
• Knowledge of NFV components, including Virtual Network Functions (VNFs)
• Experience with OpenStack cloud installation and configuration
• Experience with 3GPP-based telecom messaging flows and protocols such as SS7, RCS, SIP, MSRP, SMTP, MM4, SMPP, HTTP, HTTPS, DIAMETER, LDAP, IPSec, DNS
• Test plan development and execution
• Defect tracking and RCA
• Designing network acceptance criteria and test plans based on industry standards
• Analysis of transaction logs, call traces, Wireshark captures, and application logs

Job Requirements

Education : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Applications, or related field plus five (5) years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree plus two (2) years of experience in virtualized messaging products in cloud environments.
