General Application - Gas Laborer

Journeyman Local 860 Labor Gas Department

Reports To : Foreman

Status : Full-Time, Non-Exempt, Union Labor 860

Scope of Position

The Vallejo Company is seeking an individual to join our team as general laborer with a strong background in underground gas utilities.

Essential Functions

• Cleaning and preparing construction sites.
• Loading and unloading materials and equipment.
• Building and taking down scaffolding and temporary structures.
• Digging trenches, compacting earth, and backfilling holes.
• Operating and tending machinery and heavy equipment.
• Following instructions from supervisors and implementing construction plans.
• Assisting skilled tradespeople in their duties.
• Knowledge of gas line work (if you have OQ's please let us know)

Ensure company equipment, material, and the work site are maintained, kept clean, and stored in a safe manner. Collect and dispose of scrap, excess materials, and refuse.
