Job Description : We are seeking a
highly organized and detail-oriented Inventory Specialist
with prior experience in the
apparel and fashion industry
to help us build and maintain a structured, accurate, and accessible inventory system. Our warehouse currently manages over
10,000+ apparel pieces —including
t-shirts, hoodies, pants, and shirts —and we need someone who understands the nuances of clothing categories, materials, and sizing to streamline our stock management.
This role is ideal for someone who has hands-on experience managing
fashion or apparel inventory systems , understands
fabric classifications , and can ensure
inventory precision
from warehouse to digital record.
Key Responsibilities :
Conduct
physical counting and categorization
of all apparel items within the warehouse.
Create and maintain a
comprehensive digital inventory database
(Excel, Google Sheets, or ERP).
Track and update key details including :
Product category (e.g., T-shirt, hoodie, etc.)
Style / Collection name
Color
Size and fit
Fabric type and blend composition
Quantity and available stock
SKU or item code
Vendor or supplier information (if applicable)
Organize inventory into
logical and easy-to-navigate categories
for management and sales teams.
Perform
regular audits
to ensure stock accuracy and detect discrepancies.
Collaborate with warehouse and production teams to validate counts, identify damaged goods, and maintain optimal inventory levels.
Generate periodic
inventory summary reports
for management and reordering purposes.
Ensure compliance with
inventory handling best practices , including labeling, tagging, and garment preservation.
Requirements :
Minimum 2 year of experience
in
inventory management within the apparel or fashion industry
(retail, wholesale, or manufacturing).
Proven ability to handle
high-volume inventory (5,000+ units)
efficiently and accurately.
Strong proficiency in
Excel or Google Sheets ; familiarity with
inventory management software or ERP systems
(e.g., NetSuite, Fishbowl, Stitch Labs, or similar) is preferred.
Excellent organizational skills with a
keen eye for detail .
Ability to work independently and efficiently under minimal supervision.
Understanding of
fashion-specific attributes
(e.g., size runs, fabric variations, fit types).
Strong written and verbal communication skills for reporting and cross-functional coordination.
Ability to lift and move inventory boxes as required.
Preferred Qualifications :
Experience with
SKU creation ,
barcode systems , or
digital cataloging
tools.
Familiarity with
fashion merchandising terminology
and
seasonal product cycles .
Prior work experience in a
fashion brand warehouse, showroom, or fulfillment center .
Job Type :
