Job Summary :
The Associate Maintenance Mechanic supports the maintenance team in servicing and maintaining pharmaceutical packaging and facility equipment. This entry-level role is ideal for individuals with mechanical aptitude who are eager to learn and grow in a regulated manufacturing environment. The associate mechanic will assist experienced craftspeople, follow safety and documentation procedures, and contribute to equipment reliability and uptime. Key Responsibilities :
- Assist in basic maintenance and repair of production and facility equipment under supervision.
- Follow all safety procedures and report any incidents or unsafe conditions.
- Participate in safety programs such as Safe Start and B-Safe.
- Document maintenance activities using Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
- Communicate effectively with team members and other departments to support smooth operations.
- Use maintenance systems (e.g., GMARS) to search for work orders and parts, and enter basic maintenance notes.
- Maintain compliance with training requirements and participate in ongoing development.
- Support shift-to-shift communication and help identify potential equipment or process issues.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and assist with inventory and parts tracking.
Minimum Qualifications :
High School Diploma or equivalent.Mechanical aptitude and interest in hands-on technical work.Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and perform physical tasks.Valid driver's license.Willingness to work overtime, including call-ins and during peak periods.Preferred Qualifications :
Previous experience in a mechanical or maintenance-related role.Familiarity with maintenance systems (e.g., GMARS or similar CMMS).Basic understanding of safety practices in an industrial or regulated environment.Strong communication and teamwork skills.Work Environment :
Work is performed in a manufacturing setting with exposure to machinery, noise, and moving parts.May involve standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the shift.Job Types : Full-time, Contract
