We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead critical initiatives within the banking industry in Merrillville, Indiana. In this long-term contract role, you will play a vital part in overseeing system transitions, optimizing processes, and ensuring seamless collaboration across various teams. This position requires a proactive individual with strong leadership skills and a depth of experience in project management and financial systems.
Responsibilities :
- Oversee and manage the migration of accounting data and business processes to new systems.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define, validate, and optimize accounting workflows and product requirements.
- Lead data analysis, mapping, and conversion efforts to ensure accuracy and alignment with organizational goals.
- Coordinate system testing and validation processes to ensure successful implementation.
- Document project progress, key findings, and outcomes for internal and external reporting.
- Facilitate communication and provide guidance to end users during the transition period.
- Support post-conversion activities to address challenges and optimize system performance.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to redesign business processes and enhance efficiency.
- Act as a liaison between accounting teams and external providers to ensure smooth integration.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management within the banking or financial sector.
- Proficiency in PeopleSoft General Ledger and core banking systems.
- Strong knowledge of banking systems and financial data migration processes.
- PMP certification or equivalent formal project management training.
- Familiarity with Agile Scrum methodologies.
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across teams.
- Experience with process redesign and optimization is highly desirable.
