What you'll do :

NinjaTrader is a fast-growing fintech operating in a regulated environment, where security is critical to our success. We are seeking a Security Operations Analyst to join our Security team. Reporting directly to the Sr. Director of Security & IT, you will play a key role in protecting our infrastructure, data, and users in a regulated financial services environment. This is a hands-on role focused on monitoring, investigation, and response, while also helping to mature our security processes as the company scales.

This role is ideal for someone who thinks critically, is passionate about automation, and thrives with an ownership mindset.

In this role you will :

• Monitor & respond - Perform daily SIEM monitoring, triage alerts, and escalate incidents as needed
• Vulnerability management - Run scans, analyze results, and work with engineering / ops to drive remediation
• Threat detection & phishing analysis - Investigate suspicious activity, review phishing attempts, and respond to reported malicious emails
• Security ticket handling - Manage the security ticket queue, support triage, and ensure timely resolution
• Compliance & risk support - Assist with third-party vendor risk assessments, audits, and evidence collection for regulatory requirements
• Continuous learning - Stay sharp on the latest attack techniques, tools, and defensive best practices

What you'll need :

Compensation :

The salary range for this role will be $115,000.00 - $130,000.00 USD. In addition, this position will also receive an annual target bonus of 8%. Bonus pay at NinjaTrader is based on individual performance (50%) as well as company / team performance (50%).

Salary and bonus earnings are only two components of the total compensation package offered by NinjaTrader. NinjaTrader offers a 401K plan through ADP under which the company will match up to 3.5% of employee contributions. Annual paid time off allowance accrues at a rate of 18 days per year (some positions may qualify for more) plus seven paid holidays.

This role is based in Chicago, IL. We are not open to remote candidates for this role

Hybrid :

For Chicago-based employees, we follow a hybrid work schedule : In-office Tuesday through Thursday, with remote work on Mondays and Fridays. In addition to these weekly remote days, we offer :
