Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery travel assignment requiring at least 2 years of travel experience in high-risk hospital settings.

Responsibilities

Work in a hospital Labor & Delivery unit

Care for high-risk pregnancy patients

12-hour night shifts from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., three days per week

EPIC charting system is used

Assignment duration is 13 weeks

May float to a nearby sister hospital as needed

Responsible for comprehensive patient assessment and delivery of competent, appropriate nursing care

Maintain accurate and complete documentation of patient assessments, care, and education

Provide patient and family education related to procedures and care

Adhere to safety protocols including National Patient Safety Goals and use of two patient identifiers

No local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius

Dress code requires compliance with hospital policy

Returning travelers must take a 30-60 day break after a one-year assignment before returning

Requirements

Active NJ or compact RN license required

Current ACLS and BLS certifications required

Minimum of 2 years of travel nursing experience in large hospital settings with high-risk pregnancies

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred
