BayCare is currently in search of our newest Lab Medical Assistant II-Phlebotomy who is passionate about providing outstanding customer service to our community. BayCare's top priority is the health and well-being of our communities as Tampa Bay's leading multi-specialty group with more than 600 providers practicing 45 specialties in over 175 outpatient locations throughout the Tampa Bay and west central Florida regions.

Status : Full Time

Shift Hours : 7 : 00 AM 5 : 00PM (May Vary)

Shift Days : Monday thru Friday

Location : St. Petersburg, FL

Weekend Work : None

On Call : No

Responsibilities :

Responsible for collecting, receiving and processing of inpatient and outpatient specimens for testing

Communications with nursing regarding patient specimens

Referring specimens to outside laboratories

Interaction with physicians, clients and staff regarding referral lab tests

Performance of phlebotomy procedures

Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements :

Required High School or Equivalent

Required Florida Driver's License if applicable

Required 6 months phlebotomy; or 6 months laboratory related or 6 months related field
