Position description

Temporary positions are anticipated for lecturers in the Institute of Transportation Studies (ITS) under the umbrella of the Civil and Environment Engineering Department. A list of courses that may be available during 2025-2026 academic year is attached. An updated list is available on the department website at https : / / catalog.ucdavis.edu / courses-subject-code / ttp / . Courses will be conducted in person on the main UC Davis Campus in Davis, CA.

Appointment Date : Several appointments may be made each year. A selected candidate may be assigned only one course in any quarter.

Service dates are :

• Fall Quarter 2025 : September 22, 2025 - December 12, 2025
• Winter Quarter 2026 : January 2, 2026 - March 20, 2026
• Spring Quarter 2026 : March 26, 2025 - June 11, 2026

Duties and Responsibilities :

Teach one or more lectures and / or laboratory courses in ITS during the academic year.

Qualifications

Basic qualifications (required at time of application)

Minimum professional degree requirement is a Master's, in Civil or Environmental Engineering, or extensive university-level / higher education teaching experience in a relevant area; although exceptions may be made for exceptional candidates with strong and relevant experience in both practice and teaching.
