Director Quality Assurance
Powers Health is hiring a Director Quality Assurance to work days at Community Hospital in Munster, IN. The Director Quality Assurance will direct, organize, coordinate, and implement the Quality / Risk Management Program as outlined in the Quality / Risk Management Plans for assigned sites. The role also involves implementing the Performance Improvement function enacting all phases of the Performance Improvement Cycle : Design, Monitor, Analyze, and Improve. The Director is responsible for a viable and effective risk management / risk reduction program assuring compliance with all state and federal regulations as they relate to Risk Management.
Required Skills & Qualifications :
- Bachelor Degree in Nursing or other Health Related field. Masters Degree preferred.
- Must have knowledge of patient care evaluation methodology including criteria development and data analysis techniques.
- Knowledge of governmental and voluntary standards requirements and guidelines for quality assessment and data management skills including data collection and abstraction, tabulation, graphic and other display techniques.
- Storage techniques and principles of validity and reliability of data, basic statistical methods, coding and classifications of data, strong medical terminology, and understanding of basic clinical medicine and principles of release and retention of information.
- Must have at least five (5) years experience in the Quality Management area.
- Employee traits important to the position would be that of a self-starter, used to long range planning, and a people-oriented person.
- Demonstrates above-average organizational ability in performing several high-priority tasks simultaneously.
- Projects willingness to move from one task to another as the work requires without direction from supervisors.
