Compensation : $18 / hr - $25 / hr
Purpose
Assists the service manager in maintaining accurate and on-time reports and records relative to the service departments operation within the dealership. Answers customer inquiries about service work and generates repair quotes. Prepares and manages work orders to ensure technicians have work in front of them.
Responsibilities
Fields internal and external customer inquiries to the Service DepartmentOpens work orders as directed by the Service Manager / Shop Foreman and maintains control until they are closed and invoicedMaintains service department filings and records and service library with current informationUpdates customer profiles using equipment, hours, or other information from the customer work orderMaintains service accessories and supplies and prepares replacement ordersMay prepare Service Technician labor performance, productivity, and efficiency reportsMay process warranty and / or product improvement claims including the computation of charges, submission and follow-upMay participate in Service EDUCATE Training programs required for the development of skills and knowledgeMaintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashionFollows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignmentsMaintains knowledge of John Deere and competitive productsExperience, Education, Skills And Knowledge
