The Cloud Engineer will have an active role in helping design, plan and implement secure cloud migrations as well as adopt new cloud technologies to support business and project needs. This role will provide technical support on major tasks or technology assignments, support for multi-cloud environments, infrastructure migration methodologies and techniques including application migrations to cloud platforms and implement scalable and reliable cloud based, multi-tenant, multi-Cloud Service Provider solutions examples are Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform, Microsoft Azure (this list is not all-inclusive). These platforms will support both traditional and containerized instances.

Duties / Responsibilities include (This list is not all inclusive) :

• Building cloud instances based off of system and mission requirements
• Develop laC methodology to define and implement on-prem and cloud infrastructure components such as physical hardware, virtual machines, storage, core roles, and network configurations.
• Utilize laC tools like Terraform, Ansible, and AWX to provision and manage infrastructure across multiple platforms (on-prem or cloud).
• Implement standardized configurations, best practices, and automation for infrastructure deployments, ensuring scalability, security, and consistency
• Integrate lac code with CI / CD pipelines to automate infrastructure provisioning, updates, and maintenance during development and deployment cycles.
• Ensure seamless and consistent infrastructure management across various environments (dev, test, production).
• Collaborate with the development team to facilitate smooth infrastructure provisioning as part of the development lifecycle.
• Research, design, install, configure, and deploy platform products in high availability infrastructure to support all products and applications.
• Responsible for delivering cloud solutions, both laaS and PaaS, that enables the business to run sensitive workloads within a cloud environment securely.
• Create and install cloud computing solutions in accordance with user requirements
• Automate cloud system operations to enhance efficiency and speed
• Developing, establishing and implementing modular cloud-based applications
• Resolving technical issues and documenting them
• Creating strategies for enhancing the performance of existing cloud technology
• Maintaining applications and infrastructure for cloud-based platforms
• Training IT team members to use different cloud computing technologies
• Creating instructions for cloud computing operations and their documentation
• Maintaining, updating, and refining documentation
• Designing, developing and deploying modular cloud-based systems
• Research, design, install, configure, and deploy platform products in high availability infrastructure to support all products and applications.
