Job Description

As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Driver - Utilities in Gibsonton, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more.

Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer, where you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols throughout a dynamic utility location. What You'll Do :

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites

  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies, including emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to support operations at the location.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and observe for any unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and critical infrastructure to help to deter unauthorized access or suspicious behavior.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and team members regarding security-related matters and / or incidents.
  • Document observations, incidents, and / or irregularities according to Allied Universal and client protocols.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services when required as part of incident response procedures at the location.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • An active Armed Guard Card or License is required.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • An active Guard Card or License is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
