Position : Full-Time Physical Therapist Assistant

Location : 1705 Warren Avenue

Schedule : Days / Early Evenings, Monday through Friday

Are you a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant looking to make a difference in an outpatient facility? UPMC Rehabilitation Institute Costello Center is seeking a passionate and skilled PTA to join our dynamic team. If you have previous experience in an outpatient setting, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities :

  • Provide Exceptional Care : Deliver physical therapy treatments in accordance with the plan of care established by the physical therapist. Recommend changes based on patient condition and response to treatment.
  • Maintain Order : Keep work areas neat and orderly, and direct therapy volunteers.
  • Clerical Duties : Perform necessary clerical responsibilities as required by the facility.
  • Patient Transport : Safely and professionally transport patients using prescribed transport vehicles.

  • Productivity : Maintain a level of productivity that meets or exceeds the facility's standards.
  • Clinical Excellence : Implement treatment programs that reflect current scientific and clinical knowledge to achieve established outcomes / goals.

    • Qualifications :

  • Previous PTA experience in an outpatient facility is preferred.
  • Strong clinical skills and ability to implement treatment programs effectively.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

    Graduate of a Physical Therapist Assistant program accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association with an associates degree as a physical therapist assistant.

    Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances :

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
  • Physical Therapist Assistant OR Physical Therapist Assistant Indirect Supervision
  • Act 33 with Renewal
  • Act 34 with Renewal
  • Act 73 FBI Clearance with Renewal
