POSITION SUMMARY : Perform the duties required to prepare the patients for medical services, train new medical assistant to provide high quality care and exceptional services to Affinia Healthcare patients. Provide ongoing training to medical assistants to keep skills current. Responsible for day-to-day operations of assigned location (i.e., staffing, provider reports, inventory control).
POSITION QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS :
Education :
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Medical Assistant certification required
Experience : Minimum of three (3) years' experience as a Medical Assistant.

Essential Functions
Acts as primary instructor to train Medical Assistants using up to date knowledge of infection control, Joint Commission standards, and state and federal guidelines.Provides daily instruction to new medical assistants, encouraging active participation of the trained, and comprehension of the subject matter.Documents learning process and skill(s) obtained for all trainees with clinical skills checklists.Facilitates daily work-flow efficiencyGuides, directs, and motivates support staff to perform assigned tasks efficiently and effectively.Communicate effectively with trainees, team members, management, and all internal customers.Maintain supplies for various clinic locations making sure supplies are adequate, performs inventory control.Assist medical providers as needed during staffing shortages.Stays current on medical assistant role and Affinia Healthcare, policies and procedures pertaining to role of the medical assistant.Performs routine audits on work areas for safety regulations, Joint Commission, and to provide consistent high-quality care.Assists Director a nd others in developing training materials, checklists, and policies for positive patient outcomes.Refer patients with other medical / social services when consultation or referral is necessary, including prior authorizations for dentures.Perform other duties as assigned.Marginal Functions :
