Inside Sales Mechanical Engineer - Water / Wastewater Industry

Locatio n : Vernon Hills, IL

General Description :

Responsible for working with customers, engineers, and contractors on parts, Rebuilds & Retrofits, service inquiries and orders. Responsible for a specific set of products review specs, drawings and BOMs for projects. Obtain costs from vendors and provide quotes to our customers. Follow up with customers on quotes. Provide quotes and quote follow-up. Enter orders and expedite parts shipments. Closeout orders on Aftermarket backlog. Work closely with our vendors. Compile comprehensive scope of supply with costing for rebuild projects.

Essential Functions :

• Bid / Submittal review.
• Research and identify the specific part(s) required by the customer.
• Assume responsibility for obtaining and quoting price and delivery; processing customer PO’s; heavy phone usage (incoming and outgoing).
• Maintain project folders and required records for each customer as required.
• Special projects, including promotions.
• Close projects.
• Maintain product sell prices.
