$49,254.40 - $74,156 a year depending on experience

Job Description
Position Summary
Performs journey level mechanical repair on all equipment, gas and diesel, used within the golf department; maintains equipment inventory and maintenance records.
Supervision Received
Works under the general supervision of the Golf Course Superintendent.
Essential Functions - (Essential functions, as defined under the Americans with Disabilities Act, may include the following tasks, knowledge, skills, and other characteristics. - Responsible for maintenance and repair of all equipment, both gas and diesel, including pickup trucks ,backhoe, mowers, and utility vehicles.
- Responsible for sharpening all types of mowers used on a golf course.
- Welds and fabricates as needed.
- Operates all equipment used on a golf course and be available to use this equipment when needed.
- Performs preventative maintenance work, such as checking oil and fluid levels on all equipment.
- Maintains inventory records on repairs made, parts ordered, and parts inventory.
- Coordinates work of other crew members, assuring completion of necessary tasks.
- Keeps vehicle records.
- Performs other duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications
Graduation from a standard high school and two (2) years' work experience in the operation, repair and maintenance of small equipment, both diesel and gasoline type engines and hydraulic equipment, to include two (2) years' experience in the operation, maintenance, and sharpening of golf course mowing equipment.Must possess a valid Utah Driver's License.Must be willing to work weekends and holidays.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Thorough knowledge of mowing equipment, to include hydraulics, and small engine equipment, both gas and diesel.Working knowledge of safety practices and procedures while making mechanical repairs.Knowledge of various golf course vehicles; working knowledge of golf course maintenance, or the ability to learn how to repair and operate such equipment.Knowledge of welding and fabricating using MIG, Stick, and Oxy Acetylene equipment.Knowledge of automotive repairs and maintenance practices.Working knowledge of automated Foley Grinding Equipment.Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment with accuracy and speed,Ability to create effective working relationships with employees; ability to communicate both verbally and in writing.Ability to maintain written equipment maintenance records.PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Hurricane City employment can require employees to occasionally work outside of their normal job duties to assist with city sponsored events and / or projects.
