$49,254.40 - $74,156 a year depending on experience

Job Description

Position Summary

Performs journey level mechanical repair on all equipment, gas and diesel, used within the golf department; maintains equipment inventory and maintenance records.

Supervision Received

Works under the general supervision of the Golf Course Superintendent.

Essential Functions - (Essential functions, as defined under the Americans with Disabilities Act, may include the following tasks, knowledge, skills, and other characteristics. • Responsible for maintenance and repair of all equipment, both gas and diesel, including pickup trucks ,backhoe, mowers, and utility vehicles.
• Responsible for sharpening all types of mowers used on a golf course.
• Welds and fabricates as needed.
• Operates all equipment used on a golf course and be available to use this equipment when needed.
• Performs preventative maintenance work, such as checking oil and fluid levels on all equipment.
• Maintains inventory records on repairs made, parts ordered, and parts inventory.
• Coordinates work of other crew members, assuring completion of necessary tasks.
• Keeps vehicle records.
• Performs other duties as required.

Condition of Employment

Employee may be required to work extended or irregular hours such as nights, weekends and holidays. Hurricane City employment can require employees to occasionally work outside of their normal job duties to assist with city sponsored events and / or projects. The employee is expected to forgo normal work duties to assist with the completion of these events and / or projects. In the event of an emergency, employees are required to work to provide for the safety and well-being of the public, including the delivery and restoration of vital services.
