Schedule : MondayFriday | 7 : 30 AM 4 : 00 PM | Day Shift

Assignment Duration : 8 weeks

Start Date : October 20, 2025

Pay Rate : $20 $28 / hr

We are seeking an experienced Patient Financial Advocate to join the team at North Memorial Health Shared Services (Patient Registration Department) in Robbinsdale, MN. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented healthcare professional with strong knowledge of insurance coverage, authorizations, and patient financial assistance programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform financial screening of patients and ensure accounts are cleared for billing
  • Educate patients and families on insurance benefits, billing, and collection processes
  • Obtain insurance authorizations and secure payment arrangements
  • Identify additional payment sources (e.g., Financial Assistance, Medical Assistance programs)
  • Provide accurate cost estimates and ensure excellent patient service

Requirements

  • Education : High school diploma or equivalent (required); Bachelors degree (preferred)
  • Experience :
  • 12 years in Patient Financial Advocacy, Patient Registration, or Patient Accounting (required)
  • Front-end patient financial interactions / customer service experience (required)
  • EPIC experience (required)
  • Experience communicating with insurance carriers for authorization (required)
  • Preferred Skills : Spanish or Hmong speaking
