Job Overview :
As an Accounting Administrative Assistant, you’ll be responsible for providing administrative support to the accounts receivable department. You will coordinate a variety of tasks and responsibilities that aid in providing the highest level of support to our clients.
This in-person role is available at our Manhattan office in New York.
Your Responsibilities :
- Coordinate internal communications for the general ledger department and manage ticketing system requests.
- Collaborate with Global Treasury Services to identify and retrieve missing bank statements.
- Compile audit documentation and generate reports from internal systems.
- Print, compile, and mail tax returns to appropriate recipients.
- Track audit and tax filing statuses to ensure deadlines are met.
- Assist with setting up new properties in accounting software, including unit creation and resident data entry.
- Post balances to the general ledger and update transition control sheets.
- Support client offboarding by providing documentation and tracking transition progress.
- Process bank reconciliation files using BAI or flat file formats.
- Create budget template shells and import data from multiple systems.
- Upload global journal entries for mortgages, bank interest, and escrow transfers.
- Respond to internal client requests and perform data entry tasks.
- Extract and organize financial data from various platforms for budgeting and reporting.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with company standards.
- Use MS Office and internal systems to support accounting operations.
kills & Qualifications :
Associate’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance or a related field, or equivalent experience required.One to two years’ experience in administrative support or accounting. Experience in property management, real estate, or residential management industries preferred.Works effectively with coworkers, clients, customers, and others by sharing ideas in a constructive and positive manner; addresses problems and issues constructively to find mutually acceptable and practical business solutions.Must possess a high energy attitude and an ability to multi-task / prioritize different projects at any given time.Superior oral and written communication skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Suite including Outlook, Excel, and Teams. Experience working with ticketing systems preferred.What We Offer :

Compensation
$ 48,000 – $ 56,000 / year
