job_description.job_card.job_descriptionMonitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials and authorizations for entry and exit. Assist with visitor management by maintaining logs and providing directions as needed. Help to deter unauthorized access and / or suspicious activity through presence and observation. Conduct regular and random patrols of the premises and perimeter to identify and report any security-related concerns. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific procedures. Communicate with Allied Universal management and site personnel regarding security-related matters and incidents. Follow site-specific policies and procedures, adapting to the unique needs of a logistics and distribution environment. Provide customer service to clients, employees, and visitors while carrying out security-related procedures. Support emergency response activities as directed by site protocols and Allied Universal guidelines. Availability across various days and shifts Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available Access control and / or badge experience is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a Security Professional - Logistics Access Patrol in West Columbia, SC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more.
As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in supporting security-related operations at a busy logistics and distribution location. Your responsibilities will include monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, and conducting regular patrols to help deter incidents and maintain a secure environment. You will interact with visitors and staff, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication. - Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
- Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
- Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
