We are looking for a skilled Collections Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will manage and maintain accounts by ensuring timely collections from both commercial and consumer clients. This position requires a strong understanding of credit and billing practices to effectively handle collection processes.
Responsibilities :
- Oversee and manage the collection of outstanding payments on commercial and consumer accounts.
- Communicate with clients to resolve billing discrepancies and negotiate payment terms.
- Maintain detailed records of collection activities and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Collaborate with internal teams to address and resolve credit-related issues.
- Analyze account histories to identify patterns and minimize future delinquencies.
- Prepare reports on collection activities and account statuses for management review.
- Ensure adherence to all relevant laws and regulations in the collection process.
- Proactively follow up on overdue accounts to achieve collection targets.
- Recommend process improvements to enhance the efficiency of the collections workflow
- Proven experience in commercial and consumer collections.
- Strong knowledge of credit and billing collection processes.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to analyze account data and identify payment trends.
- Proficiency in using collection management software or related tools.
- Familiarity with relevant laws and regulations governing collections.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
