Job Title : Tooling Engineer
Location : Lake Villa, IL
Salary : $90,000-120,000+Bonus
LHH Recruitment Solutions is currently seeking a Tooling Engineer to join our client's organization in the Lake Villa, IL area.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design and optimize tooling for forming, stamping, and machining metal parts
- Collaborate with production teams to assess and improve tooling performance
- Select materials and fabrication techniques based on product and volume needs
- Coordinate with suppliers for sourcing and testing tooling components
- Conduct root cause analysis on tooling failures and implement corrective actions
- Support new product development through feasibility studies and prototyping
- Ensure tooling meets safety, compliance, and quality standards
- Maintain documentation including CAD files and revision histories
