Westfalia Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Roaming Field Service Technician to join our growing team! The Roaming Field Service Technician is responsible for performing field service and installation work on all equipment built or supplied by Westfalia Technologies, Inc.
Job Functions
- Support part and service sales for S / RMs, conveyors, palletizers, and robots.
- Accept, process, and follow up to parts orders for S / RMs, conveyors, palletizers, and robots.
- Provide service and support to customers regarding preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and repair both in-house (25%) and on-site (75%).
- Provide world-class customer service to all customers.
- Interface with customer daily, providing daily reports and owning follow up actions.
- Coordinate business information between customer, Sales, Engineering, and other associates.
- Submit all paperwork in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintaining a close professional relationship with all internal / external customers.
- Participate in developing and maintaining a sense of teamwork within the Service Department.
Required Skills / Abilities
5+ years of experience in Automation Field Service, Industrial Mechatronics, or a related field.Multi-craft experience, including mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills across multiple disciplines.Experience with Millwright work and mechanical systems.Experience in the Automation industry, including installation, maintenance, and repair of automated systems.Valid driver's license and ability to travel as required.Fit for air travel with legal eligibility to rent and operate a rental vehicle.Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.Self-motivated and independent, with strong problem-solving skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or comparable business software.Exceptional communication skills to interact effectively with customers and colleagues.Strong customer service skills, with the ability to resolve complaints professionally.Team-oriented mindset with excellent collaboration skills.Highly organized, with a strong attention to detail.Willingness to travel 50-80% of the time as required.Education / Experience
