Job Description

As a Security Officer - Tech Campus Patrols FT in Austin, TX , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech / Media / Telecom, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated areas within a dynamic tech and media location. Your presence and routine patrols help to deter security-related incidents while providing exceptional customer service to staff and visitors. You will interact regularly with others, address concerns as they arise, and contribute to a welcoming environment. What You'll Do :

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining a professional presence at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and employees, offering assistance as needed.
  • Document and report all security-related incidents, observations, and activities according to Allied Universal guidelines.
  • Remain alert to surroundings and potential security-related risks within a tech, media, or telecom environment.
  • Assist with access control, verifying identification, and monitoring entry points as required by site policies.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must have at least 5 years of security-related experience.
  • Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
