Position Summary
With general guidance in a team environment, responsible for various inspection requirements.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date acceptance and rejection records and / or certifications systems as required by the applicable specifications.
- Determine acceptance or rejection after inspection and / or calibration of parts.
- Identify defective conditions and test failures and prepare all appropriate documentation and / or calibration history.
- Perform inspection on detailed machined parts using a wide variety of measuring and test equipment to determine acceptability or rejections of parts and / or parts finish. Interpret specifications, charts and manuals.
- Use mathematics to convert blueprint dimensions and tolerances. Work within the guidelines of drawings, schematics, blueprints, route sheets, travelers, quality directives, technical engineering specifications, customer requirements and military standards and / or calibrations procedures.
- Observe and perform audits of a moderate scope or complexity on assembly and test, machining and other functions for compliance to procedures.
- Issue to or remove instruments / inspected parts from various areas. Perform calibration of a moderate scope or complexity on various types of measuring and test equipment. Use standards to make moderately complex set-ups for calibration of measuring and test equipment.
- Perform complete inspections in accordance with applicable specifications, standards and other contractual documents. Interpret, evaluate and document inspection results in accordance with approved procedures.
- Observe all prescribed safety rules and regulations and maintain a FOD free work area.

Qualifications
Two years related inspection, calibration or NDT experience or demonstrated ability to perform described responsibilities.Demonstrated ability to read and interpret blueprints, manufacturer specifications and internal drawings and procedures.Ability to use and / or calibrate mechanical, hydraulic and electrical instruments / gages.Working knowledge of machine shop mathematics.Knowledge of applicable military standards may be required. Personal hand tools may be required.May be required to lift up to 50 lbs.Must demonstrate effective verbal, written and interpersonal communications skills. Ability to work effectively with others and be a participative team player.Conditions of Employment
