Position Summary

With general guidance in a team environment, responsible for various inspection requirements.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date acceptance and rejection records and / or certifications systems as required by the applicable specifications.
• Determine acceptance or rejection after inspection and / or calibration of parts.
• Identify defective conditions and test failures and prepare all appropriate documentation and / or calibration history.
• Perform inspection on detailed machined parts using a wide variety of measuring and test equipment to determine acceptability or rejections of parts and / or parts finish. Interpret specifications, charts and manuals.
• Use mathematics to convert blueprint dimensions and tolerances. Work within the guidelines of drawings, schematics, blueprints, route sheets, travelers, quality directives, technical engineering specifications, customer requirements and military standards and / or calibrations procedures.
• Observe and perform audits of a moderate scope or complexity on assembly and test, machining and other functions for compliance to procedures.
• Issue to or remove instruments / inspected parts from various areas. Perform calibration of a moderate scope or complexity on various types of measuring and test equipment. Use standards to make moderately complex set-ups for calibration of measuring and test equipment.
• Perform complete inspections in accordance with applicable specifications, standards and other contractual documents. Interpret, evaluate and document inspection results in accordance with approved procedures.
• Observe all prescribed safety rules and regulations and maintain a FOD free work area.
