Position Summary :
The Payroll Analyst is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll for all employees within the healthcare organization. This role plays a critical part in maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local regulations while upholding internal policies and healthcare industry standards. The Payroll Analyst will collaborate with HR, Finance, and department leaders to resolve payroll issues, maintain data integrity, and support employees with payroll-related inquiries.
Responsibilities :
- Prepare, audit, and process bi-weekly or semi-monthly payroll for clinical, administrative, and field staff across multiple locations.
- Ensure accurate calculation of wages, overtime, shift differentials, bonuses, deductions, and benefits.
- Maintain compliance with healthcare-specific labor regulations, wage and hour laws, and union agreements (if applicable).
- Prepare and reconcile payroll reports for Finance and HR leadership.
- Support quarterly and year-end payroll functions, including W-2s and tax filings.
- Maintain payroll records in HRIS / payroll systems, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality of employee data.
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase payroll efficiency and accuracy.
- Serve as the first point of contact for payroll-related questions from staff, providing clear and timely resolutions.
- Educate employees on payroll policies, timesheet procedures, and paycheck details.
- Partner with HR to ensure new hires, terminations, leaves of absence, and status changes are accurately reflected in payroll.
- Work with Finance to reconcile payroll accounts and assist with audits.
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.2–4 years of payroll processing experience (healthcare industry experience strongly preferred).Familiarity with multi-state payroll, FLSA, and healthcare-specific scheduling / pay rules (on-call pay, shift differentials, etc.).Strong knowledge of payroll systems (e.g., ADP, UKG, Paycom, or similar HRIS / payroll platforms).Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.High attention to detail with strong confidentiality and compliance focus.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and payroll reporting.ADP experience strongly preferred.Strong communication and customer service skills when working with employees and leadership.Full-time employees qualify for the following benefits :
