Position Summary

Under the direction of center administration the Infant / Toddler teacher is responsible for coordinating and implementing individual education plans for children ages 6 weeks – 3 years. The infant / toddler teacher supports the lead teacher in providing a safe and educational learning environment for the children.

Major Responsibilities and Tasks

• Program Core Features

Provide high-quality learning environment that incorporates evidence-based curriculum and instructional activities

Positively engage with children and use appropriate Conscious Discipline methods, as outlined in CWCC’s policy

Identify concerns or developmental milestones of primary care children to the lead teacher

Develop relationships with families by providing open communication and encouraging parental input

The assistant teacher will assume lead teaching responsibilities in the absence of the lead teacher
