General Summary :
EPIC is seeking licensed outpatient therapists for contract employment. We are looking for personable and positive professionals who care about others, enjoy flexible schedules, and work well independently. The position meets with clients via Telehealth and in-person. In-person sessions are primarily based on a client's need and preference and if the therapist deems an in-person session is needed.
As a therapist with EPIC, you would provide initial assessments and on-going treatment to children, adolescents, and / or adults with mental health challenges, substance use issues, relationship conflicts, or other life concerns.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Active collaboration with other professionals, both internally and externally, to ensure the best possible course of treatment for all clients;
- Maintenance of accurate and timely documentation of services within an electronic health record (EHR);
- Ongoing evaluation of the efficacy of treatment interventions and dynamic utilization of therapeutic services based upon this evaluation;
- Development and implementation of plans of treatment, with a focus on evidence based interventions;
- Specialized provision of therapeutic intervention to individuals, couples and / or groups of all ages presenting for treatment.
- Manage a caseload of 20-30 consumers;
- Conduct mental health assessments, which include clinical interviews of adults, determine preliminary DSM V diagnosis, and identify treatment goals and objectives;
- Complete the Illinois Medicaid Comprehensive Assessment of Needs and Strengths (IM+CANS) for every new client;
Requirements :
Master’s Degree (M.A. or M.S.) from an accredited college or university;Unrestricted license to practice in the State of Illinois as a Social Worker, Professional Counselor;LCSW or LCPC preferred;Minimum of 1 years outpatient experience post licensure preferred;A minimum of 1 year post masters experience providing services to children, adolescents, and adults.Case management experience very helpfulWell-organized with a client-centered approachExcellent knowledge of MS Office SuiteExcellent oral and written communication and presentation skills;Ability to work with DCFS, courts, and other social service systems;Ability to work flexible hours, may including evenings and weekends;Ability to pass the required DCFS criminal background check, including child abuse and sexual offender registries;Valid Illinois driver’s license with acceptable driving record; insured and reliable transportation;Ability to handle sensitive and confidential materials;Ability to work in an alcohol, tobacco and drug-free environment.Competencies (Minimum Skills, Knowledge and Experience) :
