Wholesale Produce Supply is a leader in the fresh produce industry, committed to delivering high-quality products to our customers. We pride ourselves on innovation, sustainability, and excellence in everything we do. We are currently seeking a dynamic Produce Production Supervisor to join our team and oversee production operations.
Schedule : Monday through Friday 7am until finished. Business will dictate schedule.
Compensation : $65k-$80K DOQ
Essential Job Functions :
- Manage all production activities, ensuring smooth operations and compliance with company standards.
- Monitor production to achieve daily and weekly goals while addressing inefficiencies and bottlenecks.
- Implement and maintain quality control processes to ensure products meet safety, quality, and freshness standards.
- Collaborate with the Quality Assurance (QA) team to identify issues, execute corrective / preventive actions.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives, focusing on waste reduction, labor efficiency, and process optimization.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with food safety regulations, including FDA, HACCP, GMP, and FSMA standards.
- Analyze production data to identify trends, create actionable plans, and drive measurable improvements.
- Supervise and support the team by providing training, mentorship, and performance evaluations.
- Address workforce needs, including scheduling, shift adjustments, and conflict resolution, while fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Enforce safety protocols and practices to minimize workplace injuries and maintain a safe production environment.
- Oversee sanitation of equipment and production areas, ensuring readiness for operations and compliance with standards.
- Coordinate with maintenance to reduce equipment downtime and ensure operational reliability.
- Serve as the liaison between the 1st and 2nd shifts, ensuring seamless handoffs and updates.
- Maintain accurate inventory tracking and ensure raw material availability to meet production demands.
Qualifications :
High school diploma or GED (General Education Diploma) equivalency, bachelor’s degree in related field preferredMinimum of 5 years work experience as Supervisor or similar role (In a manufacturing environment preferred)Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and industry best practices.Experience with creating reports and tracking data.Excellent organizational and time-management skillsStrong analytical skills and attention to detailPhysical Requirements :
