By Light Professional IT Services is seeking Cryptographic Network Engineers to join our Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) team at Ft. Meade, MD. This is an exciting position which supports the DOD Information Network (DODIN) DMN Lab and Production environments.
Responsibilities
- Ensures that new cryptographic equipment and releases are interoperability with various currently deployed transport networks and DISA IP infrastructure.
- Plans, designs, and evaluates new and existing computer network systems and services, including local area networks, wide area networks, intranets, and the Internet, providing analytical, technical, and administrative support.
- Plans, oversees, develops, and implements network policies and procedures and ensures network integrity as maintenance and modification projects to existing applications are undertaken.
- Provide in-depth engineering analysis and test reports in support of government strategic modernization efforts.
- Assists in developing and adhering to all engineering / quality processes and documentation procedures.
- Interface with internal / external customers to identify requirements and provide problem resolutions and architectural guidance.
- Provide interface support to telecommunications end users, telecommunications operations personnel, and telecommunications strategic program management.
- Collaborates with project stakeholders and technical staff to elicit, define, and document requirements.
- Maintain close working relationship with OPS / Tier II.
- Assists in the creation of acceptance test cases to verify the model, validate that its processes are functioning as expected, and requirements have been met.
Required Experience / Qualifications
Min 10 years' experience working with (configuring, troubleshooting, testing, systems design, and / or implementation) cryptographic equipment (either Link Encryptors or HAIPEs).Diagnostic testing of COMSEC equipment.DoD 8570-01-M IAT Level I Certification or higher (A+ CE, CCNA-Security, CND, Network+ CE, SSCP, etc.).Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.Familiarity with ITIL processes and methodology.Working knowledge Microsoft Office Tools; specifically, PowerPoint, Word & Excel.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Preferred Experience / Qualifications
Strong IP networking experience.Working knowledge of Time Division Multiplexing (TDM) networking and test gear.Knowledge of network management, and network control systems.Special Requirements / Security Clearance
