Travel Nurse Job Details Location : Tacoma, Washington (98405) – Washington nursing jobs Assignment Length : 13 weeks (Start : 11 / 17 / 2025 – End : 2 / 14 / 2026) Healthcare Setting : Pulse Heart Float Pool (CVICU), Level II Trauma Center, Level IV NICU Shift : 12-hour nights Hours per Week : 36 guaranteed Estimated Weekly Salary : $1990 - $2130 Employment Type : Travel Registered Nurse, On-Site Orientation : Two days general hospital orientation plus one full shift on the unit Registered Nurse Qualifications Minimum 2 years of recent CVICU or critical care nursing experience required (first-time travel nurses welcome) Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Washington state preferred Certifications : ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Clinical skills : cardiac rhythm interpretation, chest tubes, lumbar drains, ventilator management, invasive line management (A-line, CVP, Swan), external pacemakers, BiPAP, abdominal pressure monitoring, tracheostomies Experience with vasoactive and cardiac drips (Propofol, Precedex, Fentanyl, Versed, Cardizem, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Nicardipine, Levophed, Epinephrine) Epic charting experience preferred; Cerner experience acceptable Traveler Telemetry Competency required prior to start CVICU Nurse Responsibilities Deliver high-quality patient care to post-op cardiac and vascular surgery patients (CABG, esophagectomy, TAVR, AAA repair, thoracic and vascular surgeries, post-arrest) Maintain patient ratios of 1 : 2 (1 : 1 for select critical therapies) Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams including hospitalists, respiratory therapists, and intensivists (24 / 7 support) Float as needed to CCU or other ICU-level units Participate in bedside reporting, hourly rounding, and thorough documentation (including pain assessments) Adhere to strict medication safety protocols and hospital policies Demonstrate excellent customer service and teamwork Work every other weekend and at least 2-3 holidays if assignment overlaps with holiday season Apply now to join our healthcare team and explore rewarding travel nursing jobs in Tacoma, Washington!
