Contract Senior Accountant

My client, a leading organization located in vibrant downtown Houston, is seeking a Contract Senior Accountant to join their team for a key project. Key Responsibilities :

• Accurately record, report, and analyze revenue and operating expenditures for terminals, adhering to strict deadlines.
• Perform end-of-month tasks as outlined in the close calendar.
• Prepare month-end journal entries for profit and loss and contribute to quarter-end financial reports.
• Compile monthly variance analyses for the MidAtlantic Area.
• Review and verify the accuracy of annual budgets.
• Interpret trends using forecasts and P&Ls to provide actionable insights.
• Maintain organized and accurate monthly balance sheet reconciliations for specified amounts.
• Conduct CALM reconciliations and manage shortfall schedules.
• Maintain detailed monthly schedules related to leases, rents, and volumes.
• Regularly review accounts receivable aging balances and, when necessary, follow up with customer collection calls.
• Review customer contracts to verify data accuracy, including rates and volume requirements.
• Prepare quarterly variance analysis and flux reporting for financial metrics.
• Provide other accounting-related duties as trained and directed.
