Sr. Accountant

We are seeking a detail-driven and experienced Senior Accountant to join our growing team. In this key role, you will oversee day-to-day financial operations, ensure the accuracy of financial records, and contribute to the overall financial health and compliance of the organization. Responsibilities

As a Senior Accountant , your core responsibilities will include :

Maintaining accurate financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries

Performing monthly reconciliations for bank accounts, credit cards, and other financial statements

Processing payroll , tracking employee expenses , and managing reimbursements

Assisting with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting

Ensuring compliance with tax regulations, financial laws, and internal controls

Supporting audit preparation by compiling and organizing relevant documentation

Collaborating on budgeting and financial forecasting initiatives

Assisting in month-end and year-end close processes

Requirements

To thrive in this role, you'll need :

A Bachelor's degree in Accounting (Master's or CPA certification preferred)

A minimum of 10 years of accounting experience (private sector or banking experience strongly preferred)

Proficiency with accounting software such as NetSuite , Acumatica , or other ERP systems, along with strong Excel skills

In-depth knowledge of GAAP and practical experience with policy implementation and money movement

Experience in payroll processing and working knowledge of tax regulations

Exceptional attention to detail , organizational skills, and time management

Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines consistently

Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have) :

Background in financial services , sub-prime lending , or auto finance

Familiarity with loan receivables management or auto loan accounting

Experience in financial planning and forecasting

Working knowledge of industry-specific tools and platforms

This position has a clear path to grow into an Assistant Controller within 1-2 years.

The position works along side the CFO & Controller, so as a Sr. Accountant, it offers a lot of exposure to Exeucutive team members & learning this Niche Financial services sector.
