Area Director of Admissions & Marketing

We are looking for a dynamic individual to be responsible for our award-winning Area Long Term Care / Skilled Nursing facilities in maintaining census at established levels and managing area marketing initiatives in support of census development.

Your Responsibilities will include :

1.

Coordinates area facility admissions through the assessment of documentation for prospective admissions / suitability of placement including verification of insurance coverage(s).

2.        Collaborates with the Director of Nursing, Assistant Director of Nursing, and Nursing Supervisors at area facilities on prospective admissions.

3.

Assists with admissions paperwork with residents and / or family member(s).

4.

Communicates patient information clearly and provides clinical and financial information to facility staff.

5.

Maintains daily contact with hospitals through telephone contacts to promote referrals to the facility and to act as a liaison between the hospitals' discharge planners and the admission and nursing department.

6.

Responsible for 24 / 7 (weekends and holidays) referral review and insurance verification.

7.

Maintains census according to budget.

8.

Seeks out new referral sources : e.g., M.D.’s, social workers, insurance case managers, etc. Conducts visits to physician's offices and other referral agencies to promote the facility’s programs and to ensure physician / referral agency confidence in facility’s programs.

9.

Chairs Admissions Committee.

10.

Chairs Marketing Committee. Represents the facility in marketing activities, internally and externally including in-service education, public speaking programs, visits to new or potential referral sources, etc.

11.

Maintains Waiting List and Inquiry List according to State Regulations.

12.

Performs other related duties and attends meetings as may be deemed necessary by the Administrator and or Vice President of Business Development.
