Position Summary
The Senior Director of Marketing will be responsible for developing and executing the enterprise marketing strategy to drive patient growth, referral volume, and brand consistency across the ReFocus network.
This is both a strategic and hands-on role, ideal for a marketing professional who thrives in an entrepreneurial environment, operates effectively with lean resources, and can balance high-level planning with tactical execution.
This leader will oversee all marketing functions, including digital acquisition, website management, local referral outreach, and performance analytics. The Senior Director will also serve as a key advisor to executive leadership and private equity partners, translating marketing results into actionable business insights.
Key Responsibilities :
Strategic Leadership
Build and own the marketing roadmap aligned with company growth objectives.Partner with the COO and Operations team to identify and prioritize market growth opportunities.Develop annual marketing budgets and growth forecasts; allocate spend based on ROI potential.Guide brand positioning and consistency across all practices and channels.Digital & Performance Marketing
Lead all digital acquisition efforts including Google Ads, SEO, paid social, and web optimization.Manage external digital vendors and drive accountability for measurable results.Oversee corporate and practice-level websites to ensure a modern, user-friendly patient experience.Develop and optimize conversion funnels from awareness through booked appointment.Analytics & Reporting
Create and maintain marketing dashboards to track KPIs, ROI, and conversion metrics.Present performance insights to executive leadership, connecting marketing to revenue impact.Use data to continuously improve campaign efficiency and marketing spend effectiveness.Team & Vendor Management
Lead a small internal team including a graphic designer and field-based marketing liaisons.Oversee and manage marketing vendors for digital, web, creative, and PR support.Establish performance metrics and accountability frameworks for all contributors.Collaboration
Partner with regional and practice leadership to execute local campaigns and referral initiatives.Collaborate with Business Development on acquisition integrations and Physician Recruitment on marketing materials.Serve as the enterprise marketing subject-matter expert within the leadership team.Qualifications :
8–15 years of progressive marketing experience, with 5+ years in leadership roles.Multi-site healthcare or service-industry experience (ophthalmology, dental, med-spa, urgent care, PT, etc.) strongly preferred.Demonstrated success in digital performance marketing and ROI measurement.Experience operating within a private equity–backed or high-growth environment.Strong analytical, budgeting, and executive communication skills.Proficiency with Google Ads, Google Analytics (GA4), CRM / automation tools, PowerPoint, and Excel.Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field (MBA a plus).What We Offer (Compensation & Benefits)
