Position
Senior Manager, Industrial Engineering at KeHE Distributors
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of industrial engineers across multiple distribution centers to optimize labor standards and operations.
- Plan and execute projects, including implementation of JDA / Blue Yonder (Labor Management System, LMS) from concept to completion, ensuring timelines and objectives are met.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate project activities and resources.
- Develop and implement labor standards using JDA Labor Management software, forecast and track performance, and optimize the workforce.
- Use AutoCAD to design and layout efficient distribution center floor plans, maximizing space utilization and material flow.
- Maintain engineered labor standards for new processes and facilities; conduct time studies and update standards as needed; manage existing standards and verification methods.
- Identify improvements in methods, procedures, equipment, or workflows; conduct supervisor and employee meetings to review enhancements.
- Maintain LMS accuracy with changes to standards and keep complete records of time studies and data used to update standards.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in distribution and process engineering; foster a mindset of operational excellence and efficiency.
- Train and mentor others in engineering principles and use of labor management systems.
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
Requirements / Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.Minimum 7+ years in distribution process engineering with focus on JDA Labor Management, time studies, AutoCAD, and Lean engineering principles.Minimum 4+ years in managing engineering teams.Experience implementing Lean projects; Lean or Six Sigma certifications required.Proficiency in AutoCAD, JDA / Blue Yonder LMS, and Lean methodologies.Strong communication, analytical, and leadership skills; ability to manage multiple projects across multiple sites.Ability to travel periodically, approximately 50%+ of the time by air, rail, rental, or car.Physical & Work Requirements
Must sit, stand, or walk for extended periods; may work at a desk or computer terminal for long durations.May use calculators, keyboards, telephones, and other office equipment.Occasional stooping, bending, twisting, and reaching may be required.Fast-paced environment; occasional evening and weekend work may be required.Benefits and Compensation
