Security Officer - Auto Industry Patrol

As a Security Officer - Auto Industry Patrol in Redford, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Auto, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will be responsible for monitoring and patrolling the assigned automotive location to help deter security-related incidents. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible, and interact with visitors and staff while providing outstanding customer service. Your presence and proactive communication help foster a secure and welcoming environment. Position Type : Part Time

Pay Rate : $18.50 / Hour

Job Schedule : DayTime

Tue 10 : 00 PM - 06 : 00 AM

Wed 10 : 00 PM - 06 : 00 AM

Sat 06 : 00 AM - 02 : 00 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and / or emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, helping to deter unauthorized activity. Working environments and conditions may vary by site.
  • Observe and report any suspicious or unusual activities, hazards, or conditions encountered during patrols.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and team members while on post.
  • Follow all Allied Universal guidelines, protocols, and site-specific instructions while performing assigned duties.

  • Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Experience using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
