We\'re seeking a hands-on Senior Engineering Manager to lead our engineering team in building and managing innovative products for Healthcare Providers and Employers. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of digital health solutions while leading a talented team of engineers in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment.

As our Senior Engineering Manager, you\'ll be at the forefront of healthcare technology innovation, leveraging cutting-edge AI tools and modern development practices to accelerate product delivery and enhance team productivity. You\'ll work closely with product teams and other engineering leaders to ensure our solutions meet the complex needs of healthcare organizations while maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Team Leadership and Management
• Lead and mentor a globally distributed engineering team (onshore and offshore), fostering a culture of ownership, high quality, and continuous improvement
• Manage team performance, career development, and growth opportunities for engineers at all levels
• Drive technical excellence while maintaining team velocity and morale in a remote-first environment
• Facilitate effective communication and collaboration across time zones and cultural differences to keep the team aligned and productive
• Product Development and Strategy
• Partner closely with product management to define technical roadmaps and prioritize feature development
• Ensure successful delivery of healthcare solutions for providers and employers, from conception to production
• Drive architectural decisions that support scalability, security, and healthcare compliance requirements
• Drive the adoption and integration of AI-powered development tools and low-code / no-code solutions to enhance team productivity
• Technical Excellence
• Oversee full-stack development across web and mobile platforms, ensuring robust and scalable architectures
• Guide implementation of healthcare integrations and interoperability standards
• Establish and maintain engineering best practices, code quality standards, and testing protocols
• Stay current with emerging technologies and evaluate their potential impact on our products and processes
• Cross-functional Collaboration
• Work closely with product, design, and clinical teams to translate requirements into technical solutions
• Collaborate with other engineering managers to ensure consistency and knowledge sharing across teams
• Participate in technical and strategic planning sessions with senior leadership

Background and Life at Big Health

$200,000 - $250,000 a year

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $200,000 - $250,000. Please note that the compensation details listed in US role postings reflect the base salary only and do not include bonuses, equity, or benefits. Additional compensation may include benefits, variable pay, discretionary bonuses, and equity.

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. The pay scale is subject to change depending on business needs.
