Recruitment Coordinator For Stem K12
Lakeland University, an independent, not-for-profit, liberal arts institution, seeks a diverse pool of candidates for the position of full-time Recruitment Coordinator for STEM K12.
The Recruitment Coordinator of STEM K12 is the university's STEM liaison to regional K12 schools. Working closely with STEM faculty, the liaison creates opportunities for faculty, teachers, employers and middle / high school students to engage in STEM programming, awareness, and career exploration with the university and industry partners. The main goal of this role is to elevate the brand of Lakeland's STEM offerings and increase enrollment in STEM programs.

Essential Functions :
Develop and implement robust middle school and high school exploration programs to introduce students and parents to the STEM offerings at Lakeland.Work with faculty to understand demand and develop new academic pathways to grow STEM enrollment.Lead academic camps in partnership with key faculty. Develop and promote opportunities to bring potential student groups to campus to experience LU's STEM facilities and faculty.Work with co-op team and admissions team to strengthen and grow co-op pathway student pipelines from high school to industry in the STEM fields, including (but not limited to) the Chemical Technician partnership with Millipore Sigma.Work with STEM faculty and admissions to strengthen dual enrollment opportunities and engagement to support STEM recruitment.Participate in community events and organizations to engage STEM educators, counselors and administrators in the regional schools.Coordinate strategic communication and news sharing with key people in the K12 system, including special communication and / or events for LU alumni working in STEM education.Engage with home school network to identify opportunities to showcase LU and LU's facilities to students interested in STEM.Coordinate meetings of local counselors and teachers, to keep them up to date on LU STEM offerings and new initiatives.Identify ways for faculty & Deans to become engaged with STEM K12 and industry relations student recruitment efforts.Engage major STEM employers in the region to articulate Lakeland's STEM offerings to their employees and their dependents.Work with transfer and nontraditional populations through LU's technical college partnerships and co-locations.Other duties as assigned.Essential Skills :
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience requiredMaster's degree preferred preference of STEM or education related programs.Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with a variety of individuals and facilitate presentations in front of groups.Priority given to those with prior K12 and / or higher education experience.Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint and Word) and database management programs.Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality.Ability to effectively manage time and priorities.Ability to prioritize office workflow and make effective administrative decisions to increase efficiency, accuracy, and productivity.Strong critical thinking skills.Demonstrate organizational ability and attention to detail.Ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment.Ability to work evenings or weekends as needed.Other duties may change at any time with or without notice.
