Anderson Remodeling, a locally owned and operated residential remodeling company in Tomball, is seeking a fulltime experienced bookkeeper. The ideal candidate is efficient, able to multi-task, and willing to go beyond doing the bare minimum. To be considered for the position, the candidate must possess the job requirements.
Duties include : Accounts Payable
Input invoices and other payment requests for vendors and crews (subcontractors) into QuickBooksReconcile monthly vendor statementsReconcile monthly credit card statementsAccounts Receivable
Create invoices based off of approved proposals and extras (change orders)Issue weekly draw requests to customers on ongoing projectsSend statements to customers as neededPost payments (credit cards and checks) from customersBank Reconciliations
Reconcile bank / credit card statements monthlyGeneral Ledger
Reconcile prepaid expenses and book entries as necessaryReview P&L and balance sheet monthly for inconsistenciesRental
Reconcile monthly payments from storage rental customersCollect on any delinquent accountsSet-up new rental customers in QuickBooksDeactivate customers when storage agreement has been cancelled (moved out)Administrative
Assist in answering phonesSet-up appointmentsFiling of payables, bank statements, and credit card statementsOther duties as assignedMinimum Requirements :
3-5 years experience in Accounting / BookkeepingTwo years' experience with QuickBooks REQUIREDComputer literate with experience using Google Suite (sheets and docs) REQUIREDSolid written and verbal communication skillsMulti-tasking and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and follow through on assignmentsOutgoing, friendly, and professional
