Material Handler II – Night Shift (Covington, GA) Contract Type : Long-Term Contract / Contract-to-Hire Pay : $17.50 / hr + $1.50 / hr Shift Differential ($19 / hr total) Shift : Monday–Thursday, 8 : 00 PM – 6 : 30 AM Location : Covington, GA Industry : Medical Device Manufacturing About the Role We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Material Handler II to join our team at a leading medical device company in Covington, GA. This is a long-term contract position with the potential for hire. The ideal candidate will have experience operating cherry pickers, reach trucks, or turret trucks (Crown lifts) and a strong attention to detail in a fast-paced distribution environment. Note : Sit-down forklift experience does not apply to this role. Key Responsibilities Order Processing & Picking Pick, pack, and process customer orders accurately using RF scanning technology. Scan barcodes, label boxes, and verify accuracy of shipments. Maintain clean and organized workstations according to SOP and GDP standards. Pallet Build & Shipping Palletize, scan, and wrap completed orders for shipment. Re-palletize as needed and transport materials using MHE. Verify shipment accuracy and complete dock manifest duties. Inbound / Outbound & Inventory Load and unload inbound / outbound shipments using WMS. Follow all safety and documentation procedures during handling. Support transportation documentation and parcel manifest activities. Equipment Operation & Safety Operate Crown turret trucks, reach trucks, or cherry pickers safely and efficiently. Report all equipment issues or maintenance needs immediately. Maintain forklift certification and adhere to all safety regulations. Quality & Housekeeping Support company quality goals through accurate documentation and handling. Keep work areas clean and organized at all times. Follow all Hazmat and sanitation training requirements. Requirements High school diploma or GED Required Experience operating turret trucks, reach trucks, or cherry pickers (Crown equipment preferred). Strong math skills (conversion factors, multiplication, and division). Forklift certification (or ability to obtain) preferred. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical warehouse duties. Reliable, detail-oriented, and safety-conscious. Strong communication and teamwork skills.
