TEAM BASE CARE MEDICAL ASSISTANT

Position Summary :

Team Based Care Medical Assistant (TBC-MA) aims to enhance patient care by having health professionals from different disciplines work collaboratively with the patient and the patient’s primary care provider. In this role the TBC-MA processes patient information facilitates communication between advanced practice providers, physicians, other staff members, ancillary services, and all patients. The Medical Assistant provides care to patients under the direction of an advanced practice provider or physician. The TBC-MA carries out workflows and procedures to facilitate the team-based care environment.

Minimum Qualifications

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Medical assistant training required.
• RMA, NCMA or CCMA certification preferred.

Experience

6 months prior MA health care experience or as an Intern.
