As an Education Assistant at Vanguard Classical School, you will play a vital role in guiding students on their educational journey. Your responsibilities will include :

• Assisting the classroom teacher in implementing daily lessons, learning activities, and small group instruction.
• Provide individual or small group support to reinforce learning concepts introduced by the teacher.
• Prepare and organize instructional materials and supplies.
• Support students by developing academic and social-emotional skills.
• Assist in monitoring and documenting student progress as directed.
• Provide active supervision during recess, lunch, and carline to ensure student safety and appropriate behavior.
• Encourage positive social interactions and conflict-resolution strategies.
• Implement behavior support as directed by teachers and the administrative team.
• Work collaboratively with classroom teachers, specialists, and administrators to support student learning and well-being.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding student records and personal information.
• Communicate effectively and positively with students, staff, and families.
• Assist with clerical tasks such as copying, filing, and organizing materials.
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment.
• Provide substitute teaching support when appropriate credentials have been obtained and as assigned by administration.

Your employment by the Vanguard Classical School may provide you with information that is confidential and proprietary to the Vanguard Classical School or to its affiliated schools including, but not limited to, any trade secret, any financial, educational, fundraising, student, and / or personnel files, records and / or information (collectively "Confidential Information"), and that disclosure of any Confidential Information could cause irreparable harm to the Vanguard Classical School and its students. You agree not to communicate, divulge, or disclose to any other person, firm, or entity or use for your own benefit or purposes, any Confidential Information, except as required by law or court order or expressly authorized in advance in writing by the Vanguard Classical School. This covenant shall survive the expiration or termination of your employment by the Vanguard Classical School.

In compliance with the Immigration Reform and Control Act, you will be required to provide documented evidence of identity and eligibility to work in the United States. Please bring appropriate documentation with you to your New Hire Orientation. Federal Law states that the Charter School may not permit you to work more than three days without this documentation.

Lastly, please note that your employment offer is contingent upon the successful completion of the required criminal background clearance process, and that the failure to do so will render any offer null and void in its entirety.
