Capsule Tech Integration Specialist (100% Remote)

Job Description :

1. Device Integration & Connectivity

Configure Capsule Device Drivers (IDDs) for bedside medical devices (infusion pumps, monitors, ventilators, etc.).

Connect devices to Capsule servers and validate data transmission.

Ensure accurate mapping of device data to EMR fields.

2. System Configuration & Maintenance

Set up Capsule servers, clients, and network connectivity.

Maintain Capsule Data Capture System (DCS) and Capsule SmartLinx.

Monitor system logs for errors, device drop-offs, or connection failures.

3. Data Workflow Management

Establish and test HL7 interfaces for Capsule-to-EMR integration.

Validate real-time clinical data flow from devices into patient records.

Troubleshoot latency, duplicate data, or missing vitals issues.

4. Implementation & Deployment

Work with vendors (Capsule, device manufacturers, EMR teams) to integrate new devices.

Conduct site assessments for device connectivity readiness.

Deploy patches, upgrades, and new features with minimal downtime.

5. Testing & Validation

Perform end-to-end interface testing with EMR applications.

Validate alarm integration and alerting workflows.

Support clinical staff during go-live and stabilization phases.

6. Support & Troubleshooting

Act as L2 / L3 support for device connectivity issues.

Resolve hardware, driver, or software failures impacting patient data flow.

Escalate unresolved issues to Capsule support / vendor.

7. Collaboration

Work closely with Biomedical Engineering, Nursing Informatics, and IT teams.

Train clinical users on proper device connection and usage.

Participate in integration planning meetings and change management.

8. Documentation

Document integration architecture, workflows, and troubleshooting guides
