Job Description

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Shopping Mall Patrol in Santa Clara, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail / Malls, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a bustling retail and mall location, you will actively monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and maintain a welcoming environment for visitors and staff. Your presence and exceptional customer service will support a positive experience for everyone on site. What You'll Do :

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites

  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail or mall location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
  • Observe and report any suspicious behavior or activity within the location.
  • Assist visitors, tenants, and / or employees with directions and general inquiries.
  • Work closely with local law enforcement and emergency personnel as needed.
  • Document all incidents and maintain detailed reports according to site requirements.
  • Support access control procedures and monitor entrances and exits as directed.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Experience using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
  • Experience with access control and / or badge systems is preferred.
  • A Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
