Job Description

As a Security Professional - Armed Transportation Site - Full Time in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Transportation, and more.

As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents within a dynamic transportation location. Your responsibilities include conducting regular patrols, maintaining a visible presence to help create a secure environment, and delivering outstanding customer service through clear and professional communication. This armed position requires you to be attentive and responsive, upholding our values of agility, reliability, and integrity while working collaboratively with your team to support a people-first culture.

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing appropriate communication and de-escalation techniques.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout transportation facilities and surrounding areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and / or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other critical areas to help to deter unauthorized access and / or prohibited items.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and any unusual occurrences as required by Allied Universal and site protocols.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and / or emergency services when necessary to support incident response and resolution.
  • Remain alert and prepared to respond to a variety of situations, adapting to changing environments and conditions within transportation locations.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
