Mayorial Office Assistant
The New York City Mayor's Office is responsible for overseeing city services throughout the five boroughs, coordinating public agencies and departments, and managing public property. The Mayor's Office of Administrative Services is responsible for coordinating the day-to-day operations of the Mayor's Office and agencies under City Hall. Facilities, Construction Management, and Operations are responsible for overseeing and managing facilities within all Mayor's Office locations. Our priorities include, but are not limited to, space management, office seating, custodial needs, supply requests, records management, and mailroom and messenger service. Our goal is to ensure offices operate efficiently and effectively throughout the Mayor's Office campuses.
The problems you'll solve include organizing and prioritizing mail and packages efficiently, ensuring accurate labeling, sorting, and delivering mail, tracking packages using FedEx and UPS, delivering mail within the five boroughs, assisting with office moves of boxes and materials, and handling issues related to mail delivery or processing.
About You : You have the ability to provide helpful and professional service to recipients. You have the willingness to handle a variety of tasks and adapt to changing needs. You have a strong customer service orientation and the ability to interact positively with diverse individuals are crucial. You have multitasking, time management, problem-solving, and the ability to remain calm under pressure, which are also important.

Residency Requirement : New York City residency is generally required within 90 days of appointment. However, City Employees in certain titles who have worked for the City for 2 continuous years may also be eligible to reside in Nassau, Suffolk, Putnam, Westchester, Rockland, or Orange County. To determine if the residency requirement applies to you, please discuss with the agency representative at the time of interview.
